Your experience starts with an informative tour of the centre where you will see the variety of birds of prey close up and learn all about their different characteristics, speed capabilities, dietary needs and hunting habits. You will learn some falconer skills including tying a falconry knot, attaching a swivel and oiling jesses. Finally there will be plenty of photo opportunities when you participate in a flying or training session where you will learn how to weigh, pick up and settle a bird on a perch. You will be at there for approximately 5-6 hours in total.

You have been issued with a voucher valid for 10 months. All equipment will be provided for your experience, but it is advisable to bring a pair of wellington boots with you and wear suitable outdoor clothing for the time of year. Please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year. The minimum age for this experience is 12 years old. Please remember to take a packed lunch as lunch will not be provided.
