Upon arrival at the airfield you will be introduced to your flight instructor. You will have a full briefing session where you'll learn about the aircraft and have the opportunity to ask any questions about the microlight, airfield or flying. Take a seat in the cockpit and get comfortable - all equipment will be provided on the day. You'll be wearing a headset so that you can talk over the intercom - a helmet maybe necessary depending on the microlight you choose to fly. The instructor will taxi the aircraft to the runway and run through the controls for your benefit. After a final safety check it's take off time! Once airborne, the control will be passed to you - you are free to fly the aircraft for as long as you want (within the lesson time). The instructor will land and then its off for a well deserved cup of tea. Flight time is 30 minutes.

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months for one person, you are then free to call the air school and book your experience. You are welcome to bring family and friends to come and watch you fly and take pictures. The minimum age for flying is 10 years old, however if the participant is under 18 they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The maximum weight for this experience is 16 stone. All equipment will be provided on the day. No previous flight experience is necessary. The experience is subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check if it is safe to fly.
